For my birthday last summer, my cousin gave me an adult coloring book amd some colored pencils… like the colored pencils that sit in the lobby of out music and art studio to encourage people to “create while they wait” for students having music lessons..

Last month, I picked up the pencils and, for the first time, sketched something

I didn’t really know what to sketch, so I started with music, because that’s what I know… and I just kept experimenting… I’m still experimenting and haven’t found my niche in drawing, but I’ve found it an interesting way to express my thoughts.. like usual, I’m drawn to represent sadness… but want to get the message of hope out to people who feel bound by their chains… whatever they are…

I feel there is a lot of untapped talent out there, chained up in people who are afraid to just try… something new… something out of their comfort zone… something that could take them to a whole other level of understanding.

I challenge you today to find something mew you’ve never done before…. and do it. Let it unleash your creativity.

Father God, may Your name be praised above all, in the heavens and the earth.. may you reign forever. Give us, today, what we need. Draw us close to you. Reveal to us The steps You need us to take today…

Lord, reveal to us those who are seeking You, those who are ready to truly HEAR your gospel message and ready to turn their lives over to You. Give us courage to speak to them. Give them understanding.

May You have all the glory for all You are doing.

Eternity has only two..

Who you know determines where you spend eternity. If you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you will spend eternity with Him, and ALL others who also know as Savior..

But if you don’t know Him as your Lord and Savior, eternity in hell is what you have to look forward to. Hell, the fire and brimstone preachers would say, is a place of eternal torment, a place of everlasting fire.

My friends, God does not want anyone to spend eternity that way… and neither do I

For years, I’ve said that it’a easier to share the gospel of Christ with someone who knows their life is a wreck than the church-going, Bible believing soul who knows of Jesus, but has yet to experience His saving grace in a way that leads to their repentance and salvation. This is a battle to be left to the Holy Spirit.

As I continue to prepare myself for the ensuing battle I believe is before us, I am learning to pray differently for those churched people who don’t yet know the Savior. My battle isn’t one of words.. at least not with them… but my battle is with the spirit world… my weapon is the Holy Spirit.

Father in Heaven, I humbly come to you in the name of Jesus, who is my Savior, and ask with the Power of His name that You would reach those I love with the Holy Spirit… that the Holy Spirit would go before any place I do, and prepare hearts to be convicted, for people to come to the place where they know they need a Savior. I pray that they would seek You and find Salvation through You.

Break the bonds of the chains they are in, give them freedom in You and You alone, and transform their lives in such a way that they have no other choice but to tell others what You’ve done for them.

In Your Holy Name I Plead.

Father God, I give you my all… all I am for your kingdom… that others may come to know you as Savior and make you Lord if their life… Holy Spirit, fill them and draw them to You. Grab ahold of them in such a way that they will never let go…

Bring Your angels to fight for them the battle they cannot see.

We give you all the honor and glory for all that you have already done.

As you know, my word of the year this year is PREPARE. I believe in my heart that God is raising up spiritual warriors to fight in the battle of Armageddon.

Warriors must prepare for battle. This battle is. Spiritual one… the devil knows he is going to lose the war… but he wants to try to defeat as many people as possible before he does… so we must be vigilant in our preparation.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Ephesians 6:12 | KJV

The Armor of God. Ephesians 6:10-17

¹⁰ Finally, be strong in the Lord^(A) and in his mighty power.^(B) 11 Put on the full armor of God,^(C) so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. ¹² For our struggle is not against flesh and blood,^(D) but against the rulers, against the authorities,^(E) against the powers^(F) of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.^(G) 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God,^(H) so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. ¹⁴ Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist,^(I) with the breastplate of righteousness in place,^(J) 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.^(K)16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith,^(L) with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.^(M) 17 Take the helmet of salvation^(N) and the sword of the Spirit,^(O) which is the word of God.^(P)

¹⁸ And pray in the Spirit^(Q) on all occasions^(R) with all kinds of prayers and requests.^(S) With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying^(T) for all the Lord’s people.

The battle is beginning. It’s time to be serious about preparing. I’ve been preparing by daily studying Gods word and learning how men who have gone before me have prepared… daily study is part of my preparation.

Pray (which was last years word) without ceasing… all day long be mindful of prayer, which, frankly, is our conversation with the Lord. I continue to pray… every single morning I converse with the Father over coffee and ask Him to fill me with His Holy Spirit, to draw others close to Him, to use me, in some small way, to help others come to a saving faith in Christ Jesus.

Lord, today, help me to prepare to be the warrior You called me to be. Strengthen my resolve, Lord, give me stamina when needed. Help me to rely on You. In Your Holy Name I pray.

My word of the year for 2021… prepare… for I believe Gods people need to prepare… for whatever He has planned.

But how do we prepare? For what do we prepare? How will we know when we are prepared enough?

The Bible tells us that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but if spiritual forces. I must, therefore, prepare myself for that battle.

How does a fire fighter prepare to fight fires? By learning about them and by fighting them… In Training, exercising the skills learned in small “controlled” fires, they hone their skills and review their techniques to prepare for the big fires.

So it is with our spiritual lives. Our spirits are made stronger by studying Gods word, praying and honing our skills to recognize spiritual forces in our lives.

I’m not sure exactly how I will know when I’m ready for battle, but daily reading and prayer will continue to build my skills.

My prayer this morning is for those who know Jesus as their savior to be preparing for their battle, lest the devil succeed in diverting their attention away from the preparation.
